Opening of the Walking Season 4th November 2006 - 29th April 2007 Walk the mountains with a Thredbo guided walk. Guided walks to Mount Kosciuszko operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and the Main Range on Fridays and Dead Horse Gap tours on Mondays. Bookings are required.

20th Thredbo Jazz Festival 4th- 6th May 2007 The 20th THREDBO Jazz Festival featuring top class Australian and International Jazz musicians. Winter Opening Weekend 8th - 10th June 2007 Official Opening of the 2007 Winter Season. Kick off the Ski Season with Thredbo's traditional opening weekend festivities. A Cabaret dinner will be held on Saturday night. On Sunday the Blessing of the Snow will be held in the Thredbo Chapel. If the temperatures are cold, Thredbo's extensive snowmaking system almost guarantees skiing and boarding. Special packages are available.

Fireworks and Flare Run 12th June - 11th September 2007 Every Saturday night in winter (weather and conditions permitting) This spectacle takes off from the top of the Snowgums chair and ends at Valley Terminal. View it from the balconies around the village.

SNOWYfest: International Film Festival 13th - 17th June 2007 The SNOWYfest Film Festival returns to Thredbo in June 2007 with a celebration of cult cinema, and independent features and short films. The festival will include seminars on making short films, a short film competition, independent features, and cult classics. Thredbo Masters 28th July 2007 This traditional ski race is for those over 30 years of age. A party is held and there are lots of prizes to be won.

Winter Australian Corporate Games 28th - 29th July 2007 Bring your work collegues down for a weekend of team races. Enter a team from your workplace and have a great weekend racing. Thredbo Road Collapse 10th Anniversary 30th July 2007 The 10th anniversary of the Thredbo Road Collapse is recognised with a record attempt on Australia's biggest ever flare run.

Lawyers Race 4th - 5th August 2007 A fun weekend in Thredbo both on and off the slopes.

Top to Bottom 11th August 2007 Go for it as you race from Australia’s highest lifted point down to Thredbo village - a gruelling 672 metres.
